Human beings are influenced by nature.

This influence becomes especially noticeable when the body is not in good condition.

In Traditional East Asian Medicine, physical condition is analyzed through four perspectives: Cold, Heat, Deficiency, and Excess.

Early morning is a time when the temperature is lower, Heat is reduced, and Cold is more prominent.

Cold and Heat are considered to reflect changes in the Yang Qi of the sun.

Yang Qi is at its lowest just before sunrise.

It gradually increases after sunrise and reaches its highest level around noon.

After noon, Yang Qi slowly declines until the following sunrise.

When a person feels unwell upon waking but gradually feels better toward midday, this is considered to represent Yang Deficiency.

When Yang Deficiency involves the Spleen, it is referred to as Spleen Yang Deficiency.

When it involves the Kidney, it is referred to as Kidney Yang Deficiency.
