Are You Experiencing These Symptoms?
- Pain under the base of the second toe
- Pain in the ball of the foot while walking
- A feeling of pressure under the second toe when standing
- Changes in the shape of the second or third toe
- Discomfort around the hip as well as the foot
Pain at the base of the second toe is not always caused by the foot alone.
At our clinic, this symptom may be related to changes in the hip joint.
When dysfunction of the hip affects the lower limb, symptoms may first appear along the lateral side of the leg.
As the condition progresses, it may begin to affect the front of the leg and foot.
This can lead to changes in the second and third toes, sometimes resembling a swan-neck-like deformity.
When the joint at the base of the second toe begins to bear pressure while standing, pain may develop on the sole of the foot.
For this reason, treatment should not focus only on the painful area of the sole.
At our clinic, we evaluate the condition of the hip, lower limb, foot, and toes together.
